Cake Loss is the ninth episode of Season Eight of Impractical Jokers and the 186th episode overall. It aired on May 23, 2019. The Inside Jokes version of this episode aired on September 8, 2020.
Summary[]
Q, Sal, Murr and Joe mean no direspect to patrons at a food court, then cut to the chase while posing as tailors. Later, strangers pick sides in a wild debate, and tonights big loser takes the cake with his crumby punishment.

- Loser(s): Q. He made a bet during Joe's turn, that Joe would not get a guy to shake his hips. The guy does it, and because of it, Q loses the challenge without even taking his turn.

Punishment[]
- Loser(s): Q
- Punishment: Q has to pose as a judge at a cake decorating contest at the New York Cake Academy and has to slightly ruin the contestants' cakes. He ruined the following cakes: a skyline-theme cake by taking a bite out of the sky, a "Sex and the City" theme cake by taking a bite of the "sex" and "city" parts, a "Take the 'A' Train" cake by taking a bite of the apple and spitting it out onto the hands of Associate Producer Cole Weber and two "I Love NY" Cakes; one by spinning the whole thing in a circle and slurping the frosting and another by putting his hands into the vanilla filling. After ruining the cakes, the other three Jokers later reveal to Q that he's not really a judge, but a contestant and he's been made the frontrunner of the contest after sabotaging the other contestants, and it's not long before he begins to feel the heat from the judges and the contestants he sabotaged, especially when a big group photo of him with the other contestants comes into play. Finally, feeling bad that he sabotaged the other contestants, Q destroys his own cake.

Trivia[]
- This episode marks the third time in the series that Q made a bet during a challenge which could result in him getting a loss. Unlike in the previous two instances, Bigger in Texas and Vampire Weakened, where Q risked losing the entire episode, he only risked losing the current challenge in this episode.
