Drawing a Blank is the fifth episode of Season One of Impractical Jokers. It originally aired on January 5, 2012 and it had a total of 1.48 million U.S. viewers. The Inside Jokes version aired on October 24, 2019.


Summary[]

The Jokers act as reporters preparing an interview, caricature artists in a mall, and oddball apartment dwellers looking for roommates, and cut in line for Broadway show tickets. Later, the big loser pens a not-so-epic novel at a local library.

Punishment: Read an excerpt from a book he 'wrote', called "Keeping the Faith: My Battle With Chronic Flatulence". After he opens the book, he realizes the book pages are all blank, meaning he will come up with the story on the spot. He mentions about getting a surgery to stop the chronic flatulence called a "flatulectomy".

  • The episode's title is a reference to the phrase, "draw a blank", which means to be successful.
  • Sal admitted in an interview that he was assaulted in the "Line Jumpers" challenge. A war veteran confronted him for cutting in line and choked him before they were separated.
