truTV is the channel that airs Impractical Jokers, Impractical Jokers: Inside Jokes, and Impractical Jokers: After Party. In 2011 truTV picked up Impractical Jokers for its first season. It was a risk for the channel to air a comedy show, when the other shows on the network were mostly reality based. However, Impractical Jokers was a hit and became the highest rated show on the channel so truTV renewed it for more seasons. When the show was in its third season, truTV rebranded its network to be more fun, and started to air some more comedy based shows.
